A few #SMchat Marketing topics ago, we were discussing social media monitoring and a question was asked by Garick Chan:
#SMchat founder, Chris Jones made the recommendation to gather a few vendors to answer questions on their products as well as provide insights on general social media monitoring, measurement and engagement tools….and here we are! Our Wednesday, June 20th topic will be Social Media Monitoring, Measurement and Engagement Tools.
- Which tools do you currently use to manage and/or report on social media and why?
- Which functions are important for you in social media management tools? Dashboards? Analytics? Monitoring?
- Would you rather have a social media vendor or a consultant or both?
- How do you use the tools that you have? Has it helped social media engagement? Is it measurable?
- Hot seat – what questions do you have for the vendors and consultants that have joined us today?
I’ve had several companies respond that they will be attending – sysomos.com, brandwatch.com, sproutsocial.com, argylesocial.com, radian6.com, hubspot.com and kdpaine.com to name a few – last updated 6/20 with links and information on the framing post for several particpating companies in the order they arrived! :)

Really excited to have so many vendors turn out for this today. Definitely a benefit to the broader #socialmedia and #e20 community to drive some discussion around best practices.
Many don’t have a full appreciation for the approaches and tools available ..
Looking forward to the exchange ..

I was sorry to have to miss this chat—is there a URL for a transcript anywhere? As you know, I post both the chat announcements and transcript links at the Creative Sage Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/CreativeSage . Thanks!

very interesting topic and a good list of companies. I think other interesting companies that are measuring engagement are Engagio and Nimble. Perhaps next time they can be included in your list

Cathryn, sorry It was a crazy week and I was unable to pull a transcript together.
Abdallah, there were several posts on the #smchat hashtag asking social media engagement measurement companies to get in touch so they could be included in the post. I’m sorry they missed it.
